Why is Brodie NOT teary eyed at the end?

The answer was explained by Sandy in her 4 point examination on just how CONTORTED were Brodie's priorities.

Sandy cried over Mary's death, Brodie did not even though she CAUSED it.

Perhaps she did cry when she got the news. She clearly is devastated when she reads it in the paper. But I got the impression that calling Mary a heroine and saying she died for a cause was just her way of coping with it - and trying to avoid the guilt that came with it.

in fact the movie is so clever we see her doing a "gonna wash that death right outa my hair" sequence with Sandy being drowned out by the water in her ears
