Seemingly missing scenes

While I don't think any scenes were actually missing, my copy of this movie is slightly used, and I just wanted to make sure.

The movie pretty much goes from Andreas' affair with Bibi Anderson, then later when he is talking photos with Erland Josephson she comes in and says "I know about you and Anna" However, as of that point, the film had not shown any developing relationship with him and Anna had it?

Seemed like an odd way to transition between the two relationships.

Wonderful movie overall.

Imo, saying "I know about you and Anna" on one level meant merely that he knew that Andreas and Anna had met before, but it also strongly implied more than that.

We know that Anna had an affair before. I think it is implied that he knows they are interested in each other, in having a sexual encounter, which of course they do. It is meant to be prescient, and also show the husband is okay with that, which of course seems very strange to Andreas.

Andreas must have wondered, what did he mean by that? Is THAT what he really meant???

I'm glad I am not alone in being puzzled by this unexpected information. I searched on here to see if someone else felt as if some scenes were missing.
