Great Supporting Cast

And so many are just wasted. Eli Wallach, Lee J. Cobb, Edward G. Robinson, and on and on. It's amazing to me that such a large group of great character actors were hired, and then so many were given little more to do than die ingloriously. Were top-notch character actors on sale?

And I wish there was more of Julie Newmar, one of the hottest women who ever lived, naked. But that has nothing to do with the movie. So enough of that.

Also, just to be clear, I am a big fan of the movie. Gregory Peck is excellant as usual. Omar Sharif is very entertaining. And the core supporting cast is very good. Also, the vistas and panoramic views are some of the most gorgeous ever filmed. And I love the songs by Jose Feliciano.

Move along. Nothing to see here.

But they just don't seem to do much with them. It would have been more interesting if there'd been plot and counter plot, but there isn't. I would have liked to see the two English characters try something for example, but nothing like that really happens.

They were all good sportsmen,accepting their small rolls and honored to be In the presence of other great fellow actors such as themselves, pretty sure they all fun filming this great movie together
