The worst western of all time, bar none.

I missed this one, way back in 1969. For which, I am truly thankful. Boy, am I glad I paid no money to see this turkey recently - without a doubt, the worst western I've ever seen.

I can't imagine how any serious critic would consider this as a movie to recommend. Yes, I've written a review that details much of what is bad about it. I end it by suggesting it should be seen as the lowest benchmark from which to judge all westerns. Like, next time you see a so-so western (e.g. Minnesota Clay), at least you can say, "Well, that ain't as bad as MacKenna's Gold, that's for sure." And that's a fact.

Gotta wonder how those producers were conned out of their money. One born every minute....

I've seen an awful lot of movies and a lot of awful movies...

There have been some terrible westerns, but you're correct. This is the worst, because it may tie for worst with others, except this one had the huge all star cast that was totally wasted on garbage. I can just imagine how the stars felt while this was going on, realizing they were conned big time.

Now go away or I shall taunt you a second time

I think if you cut out all the irrelevant nonsense, you might be able to get a nice tv episode out of it.

All copies of this movie should be sent to the link below and then destroyed. 
