Like I said on the other thread, my wife bought me the standard DVD version for Fathers Day and it came sealed and has 2 discs (Blu-Ray, due to it's extra layers technology obviously only requires the 1 disc).
But there was no information leaflet inside the case, should there have been?
The extra's are pretty good and I'd say it's well worth investing in a copy if you love this film, even if you bought the earlier DVD release.
Oh and all the cast interviewed (and there were quite a few who have never aired their views like this before, including Michael Caine) said how they loved the film and the Mini Coopers.
I just received the 40th Anniversay Special Edition BluRay....seems that there is no region coding, and the postal service (or should I say The Royal Mail) delivers rather quickly. Ha!
*Just got through watching it on an HD monitor, wow, just wow, worth it. There are so many details I never noticed before, like the "traffic control box" dongle that Beckerman shows in the film, it's a toy locomotive with the chassis taken off. And the cars, it's like ogling them for the first time.

I always wondered if it was a toy locomotive, because it certainly looks like one.
I guess the budget must have run a bit dry by then? LOL
Anyway I really want a HD TV and a Blu-Ray DVD player now. Only for this film though.
It makes many other films a new experience. I was about as jaded as jaded could get, and I'll be damned if I'm not constantly wowed by the experience of large screen HD.
Lorna's camel toe and a few other items never seen in lesser versions would be enough of an excuse for some to get the BluRay.
