'well gentlemen, it's a long walk back to England..and it's that way'

best line the movie?

"You're only supposed to blow them bloody doors off!"

Runner up:
"Camp Freddy, EVERYBODY in the world is bent." (IIRC)

Rome. By all means, Rome.

I can't say about the "entire movie," but I can vote for that being a great, funny line. Plus, in contrast to the "bloody doors" line, this "back to England" line can stand on its own. It's funny outside of the context of the movie.

Some great lines, but my favorite has to be Noel Coward's hilariously deadpan delivery at the funeral:

"We have come here to pay our respects to Great Aunt Nellie. She brought us up properly, and taught us loyalty. Now I want you to remember that during these next few days. I also want you to remember that if you don't come back with the goods, Nellie here will turn in her grave. And, likely as not, jump right out of it and kick your teeth in."

Followed by a fantastically timed cut to the next scene. Bloody brilliant.

Typical, isn't it? I've been out of jail five minutes, and already I'm in a hot car.

"From now on we work as a team. Which means you all listen to me."

I can't remember it exactly, but it was the scene where Charlie is introducing all the members of the gang to each other:

"And this is Keats, who just spent three years in prison and is as honest as the day is long."

I laughed out loud at that one.

Remember that in this country they drive on the wrong side of the road.
