There you go again, posting absolute crap about something you obviously know nothing about.
So I suggest you look up the facts as those Mini Cooper S's had 1275cc twin carb engines and they had servo assisted disc brakes up front.
Those little cars were also one of the most revolutionary car designs ever and around 95% of the worlds car manufacturers have copied the Minis transverse mounted front wheel drive set-up.
Plus like I told you earlier, the Mini Cooper S won the Monte Carlo Rally 4 times (plus numerous other motorsport events) in the 1960's.
So no, those Alfa's couldn't keep up and couldn't out handle what was one of the greatest cars ever created.

But okay they keep calling it a Mini Cooper, but the Cooper didn't come along until 1961 and it was Glam Rock legend Marc Bolan who died in his girlfriends Mini.

and they didnt win it in the dodgy way the poms won the world cup in 66, lots of home cooking there.
