When I was young, I had the wonderful opportunity to ride in a Miura. What an amazing experience. The car was made the same year I was (1970). We made corvettes look like yugos.

shareAnd the name was the punchline to a clever commercial for a bank in California sometime around the late 1960s or so. The bank was promoting how terrific its customer service was. A middle-aged fellow walks up to a teller and asks about a car loan. She asks his name and he offers a very long name, possibly Italian or Greek. Only slightly frazzled, she politely asks him to spell it. At the end she asks the brand name of the car he wants to buy, and of course, it's Lamborghini Miura, at which point she looks all but defeated, they both laugh and he starts to spell it. Fade to black.
