poster art?


This is a long shot, but does anyone happen to know who did the poster painting for the Green Slime (not the photo-only thing shown here on imdb).

It would be a big help to American Art Archives if anyone knows. Thanks.

For what it's worth, the contents page for issue #57 of Famous Monsters of Filmland, the Green Slime issue, credits the cover art to Vic Livoti, courtesy MGM Studios. I'm not positive that's the artist, it could be a PR guy or something, but the way it's phrased seems to imply he's the artist.

Whoever painted it deserves all the credit in the world--it's a better poster than a movie!

And I bet that poster got more asses in the seats for this film than word-of-mouth ever did.
