This is like a rip-off prequel to Leone's "Dollars" trilogy.
John Phillip Law plays what could easily be seen as the young "Man With No Name". Law even somewhat resembles a fresh-faced Clint Eastwood and he wears the same fleece-side-in sheepskin vest and brown hat that Eastwood did in the Dollars films.
Lee Van Cleef plays a mentor character kind of like a cross between Colonel Mortimer and Angel Eyes.
Seems to me that Petroni was intent on making this an "unofficial prequel" to the Dollars trilogy, showing how The Man With No Name started out, even before the officlal prequel, "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly".
