Goldie deserved her Oscar win

I just watched the film again the other day...I love it and without a doubt Goldie provides many of the film's bright moments. I am so glad that she received some Oscar-love...The Academy tends to favor drama over comedy and that year they not only honored a comedic performance, they honored a comedic performance that was completely deserving of such praise. Go Goldie! However, I must say that Ingrid Bergman should have at least received a nomination in the Best Actress line-up...very underrated performance.

True she won, but her performance was essentially her being cute. The give Oscars out for acting (according to theory). If a actress is just being herself, that ain't acting. Dyan Cannon was the best pick. (BTW I love Goldie Hawn dearly!)

Certainly in light of the godawful remake (Just Go With It) her performance seems stellar. I doubt one, ahem, Brooklyn Decker will be following in GH's footsteps on next years Oscar night!
