Me neither.
shareI've looked at your posts; you don't understand much of anything else, either.
shareOh you little wonderful troll stalker!
shareDid you really give a Adam Sandler's movies a 7 on average? That is just wonderful, you're exactly my type. I also love him, and all the Avenger movies - nothing better than these lovely neverending unoriginal movies of men with toys! Oh lord and you haven't rated any international movies? That is just soooo fetch because oh my gosh I just can't stand foreigners and their bad and stuck up movies - like that Bergman fellow, what a bore. I would totaaaally marry you, but you're just too good for me. Bohr and Schrödinger ain't got nothin' on you, smart man!
shareIt's about men who fail to realize their time has passed them by.

Davy Crockett
sucks to be you.
shareI'll bite....
Its about lots of things...besides just the raw entertainment value of the one liners and shtick.
Its a buddy movie....the Bob Hope road movies may have been first..but this gets credit for the genre
Its the rise of the anti-hero...up until that point Hollywood was pretty much making movies about good guys besting the bad guys
Its the start of the modern movie era well perhaps not the "start" but a sign of it. The studio system was being dismantled and new directors were arriving....better film stock was being used. Hollywood was changing and this is a big graphical representation of that.
I was not impressed with the movie at all. I watched it because I'm a fan of Newman and Redford, but I kept fast forwarding it until the end.
shareit's a buddy movie
shareI saw this movie when I was fifteen and got it. It's not complicated in any way.
shareSPOILERS
Its a buddy movie with a lot of one liners("The Odd Couple on Horseback") in which, oddly enough, the two buddies get slaughtered at the end.
Made it kinda weird at the time.
It was also "inspired" by the French film "Jules and Jim," in which two men shared one woman.
Mostly the success of the whole thing seemed to depend on how damn handsome Newman and Redford were...together and apart.
