I would assume both the film and the game have ficticious names and characters. The events may be true, if not 100% accurate (I wouldn't know either way) but in most cases the names of real people are changed or new people are added that take on the role of several real people.

If I were told that the names in either the movie or the game were correct, I would guess that it is the movie and the game has the made up names.

I can't speak for the video game, but the real-life counterpart to Lt Hartman in The Bridge at Remagen was 1st Lt Karl H. Timmermann who, ironically, was born on the Rhine river less than 100 miles from Remagen. His father was with the US Army occupation forces at the end of World War I, married a German woman and deserted. They eventually made their way home to West Point, Nebraska, and Karl Timmermann was driven to excel in an Army career to make up for his father's less than honorable record. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for Remagen, returned to active duty for the Korean War and fought at Inchon but died of cancer shortly afterward. His biggest memorial is the Timmermann Theater at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was a lot more interesting than George Segal's character of Lt Hartman; I read the original book before I saw the movie and can't remember a movie adaptation of a book that I was more disappointed in than this one.
