loved the way...

i personally loved the way we saw the german side of the story aswell. it showed how corupt the nazi army was but also told us that their were some sensible people on the german side. robert vaughn played the major well although he couldve atleast put on a bit of an accent because his british accent certainly didnt match the role.

das boot is a good 'german side' movie..

As are 'Stalingrad' and 'Cross Of Iron'

But the balance between the two sides, and the pros and cons of either side for that matter, were nicely done in this movie. Same in Bridge Too Far.

I think that what he was trying to say was it showed both sides at the same time, and did not show just one side of the story like "Cross of Iron" or "Das Boot" or "Private Ryan".

Add "Enemy Below" to that list.

Vaughn wasn't putting on a British accent. That's the way he always sounded in any film or TV show I've seen him in. Even TEENAGE CAVEMAN!
