Helmets?
Very dated. Everytime I saw Gazarra as the too cool counter culture rebel of 1968 in battle with his cap cocked to the side, cigar in his mouth, and no helmet, it just kept grating on me. He's supposed to be a sergeant and he threw away his steel pot? All the GI's running and jumping with their helmets not even buckled. I would imagine those brain buckets would have been scattered all over the field with a lot of dead soldiers with needless head injuries. Stupid hollywood crap.
I just watched "The Blue Max" the day before I watched this, which was produced in 1966, and it was by far the superior war movie.
This movie was real cheesey, I like it when I was about 10 years old but its got nothing for me now.
