Seeing it on the big screen...

I have never seen this film before, but tonight I get to see it at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento as part of the French Film Festival. Other notable films they're showing are Tati's "Mon Ocle" and Jeunet and Caro's "City of Lost Children."

Do you know who I am? I am a huge fan of radio control!

How was it on the big screen? Must have been amazing. I'd give anything to see this and Mon Oncle on the big screen. Not a big City of Lost Children fan though, something about it just kept me at a distance.

Superb. What a great film. I feel the same way about "Lost Children." I still like it, but I agree that it's missing something important. I still have to see "Mon Oncle," but judging from "Play Time," that probably would be a good film to see in a theater.

It's funny, my local video store just got Delicatessen which is supposed to be a really great film, so I'm thinking of giving CoLC another shot when I rent Delicatessen.

I'm actually just about to watch Playtime for the first time, I hope it's as great as the other two I've seen. I think you'll really love Mon Oncle.

I thought that "Play Time" was only all right, but that may have been because I saw it on a pretty small screen. I blind-bought it, so I have no choice but to give it another view, but even if I didn't own it, I probably would still want to. I really liked the stuff in the restaurant sequence. I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on it, as well on "Lost Children."
