Geographical goof

When Jardie and Gerbier arrive in London, we see Jardie in the car with Nelson's Column behind him, and then they drive to Duke St, but on the way we are shown images of Gt. James's St.

Now, as any Londoner knows, Duke St (near Bond St) is northwest of Trafalgar Square, whereas Gt. James's St is about the same distance to the northeast, off Theobald's Rd, not on the way at all.

I am a worthless human being.

What a great film.

A stunning and profoundly insightful post.
Your deep understanding of film is inspirational.
Obviously they should have taken the rat-run, cut back, second left on the Norbury-Penzance by-pass, over the roundabout at Ashby de la Zouche and parked outside the Trocadero.
If only Melville would have known just imagine the vistas that would have opened up. His next film-"a 2 hour drive around Warrington" showed the benefits that flowed from a deeper understanding of the English Road network and was a precursor to his masterpiece -" J'ai been stuck 'ere pour deux bleedin heures, "

Mon dieu.

That poster must be one of those London taxi drivers who've taken that infamous"know-your-London-locations" exam.
