Has anyone ever read the novel by Joseph Kessel? I wondered how much it differed from the film. I think this movie is one of the 5 greatest movies regarding WW2.

I just requested Army of shadows / by Joseph Kessel ; translated from the French by Haakon Chevalier from the Hamilton library at UH-Manoa.

I found the original that came out during WWII! It is a great read and the movie follows it FAR more closely than I ever dreamed. The movie really does bring the true story to life.
