is it really a goof?

The list of goofs refers to George and Anne running "from" a bellowing Henry to find him already in the garden, but I always interpreted it as George being sent to fetch Anne, with them laughing about Henry's voluble impatience for her presence.
Have I been wrong all these years?

reply

I agree. George had been sent to get Anne and bring her to Henry who is in the garden with the others. And yes they talk about his impatience and how he doesn't frighten her.

Aside from taking some liberties with the history, I thought this was a better telling of the Henry-Anne Boleyn story than some others. It certainly had a the most incredible cast.

In the original script, the scene opens with Queen Catherine and her ladies, all soberly dresses and praying in the darkened chapel. Anne is also there, splendidly dressed and kneeling along with them. The chapel door opens and George is seen beckoning to Anne, who genuflects and leaves the Chapel, with the Queen looking sadly after her. I do not know if the scene was actually filmed and then edited out of the final cut.
