Why was Anne executed while standing with a machete/sword while others placed their heads on a block and an ax was used?

True. I visited the Tower of London and this was mentioned. Royals persons could have the privilege of this kind of execution using the sharpest blade possible. Unfortunately, the same was not granted to Mary, Queen of Scots.
