Burton's cynical Henry confronts Bujold's Anne in the tower near the film's end- fireworks!
Absolute masterclass of acting!!

I love that people are still watching and talking about this movie. And I do agree, I loved that scene. Though it was (most likely) inaccurate, I thought it was a great scene and the "blood well spent" one of the best lines of the movie.
shareTrue, a very powerful scene in a great and almost forgotten film?
This is one of the best verbal combat scenes I've ever seen. The two approached each other in such an unemotional fashion and the progression of the argument was so explosive. You can really see Anne's arc from counting the days to her declaring Elizabeth's fate as the evolution of her character. Bujold was magnificent.
You ain't got a license to kill bookies and today I ain't sellin any. So take your flunky and dangle
I agree, a true classic!
shareOn the day that scene was filmed, a very young Roger Ebert was among the few visitors on set who saw it in person. He recalls it in his autobiography. And a few miles away on that day, Prince Charles was being formally invested as Prince of Wales.
shareWatched it again, still the best scene of any Tudor period piece.
