Music on the radio

Ok, I saw this movies twice back in the 1990's on some cable channel. The young dude with the boat always has a radio around his neck playing music. I swear that when I watched this back then I heard songs like "98.6" by Keith and "I wonder what she's doing tonight" by Boyce and Hart playing on his radio. Recently I bought the Mill Creek DVD of this and the songs on the radio are now different than what I remember.

Am I just mistaken or was there some kind of rights issue or does this dvd have the "correct" music??

They re-did the music soundtrack for the DVD.

The film originally had a music soundtrack by Peter Sculthorpe, but the original distributors didn't like that one so they replaced it with a soundtrack by Stanley Myers which Powell didn't approve of. When they made the DVD they restored the music soundtrack by Peter Sculthorpe.

I suppose that the music being played on the radio could have been changed as well
