What skits made you sad/ scared you?

Sad - When Cookie monster dressed as Ernie, ate Bert's cookies - spilling the crumbs and leaving Ernie to take the blame, making him cry.

Animated skit - girl finds a crying puppy and wonders whats the matter. Did he cause trouble at dinner - No, he's a good dog!" :(

another one was a girl squeezes a kitten too tight, hurting her and making her look like a witch in her eyes.

Scared - Count hypnotized Ernie into doing his will (70s skit), also speedy monster (c1984?)who looked like the My pet monster toy from the 80's " five apples take one apple is" whizzz! " four apples! (dirty thief! _ I didn't like the idea of a monster creeping up that quickly!)

Turned on ! - a song about subtraction featuring the Rockettes (or some leggy dancers). Even as a five year old I thought were hot!

Anyone remember these?

For some reason the song "Little Things" made me sad. Something about the singer's voice is just depressing to me.

"and how the flow-ers dieee" (that one? yeah it was a tad sombre come to think of it)

Another one that made me sad was a animated "K" skit where a Kitten gets carried away on a Kite, mewing helplessly as they fly away - never to return! :(

There was one in particular I remember watching in the mid 80s that kinda scared me at the end...

It involved Grover in his role as Waiter and the guy they used to call "Fat Blue."

Fat Blue asked Grover to make him a sandwich, identical to one on a picture in the restaurant. Despite Grover's best attempts, he just couldn't get it quite right and always missed at least one ingredient.

Eventually, after an exasperated Grover went back to the kitchen to try again for a 3rd or 4th time, he came back with exactly what the customer wanted BUT by that time, he said he was now running late and didn't have time to eat the sandwich, leaving it (and Grover) there.

The scream/shriek that Grover made at the end of that scene used to scare me as a 5/6 year old.

Furry Happy Monsters was a sad skit for me.

Yes, that cartoon with the girl squeezing the cat was scary. When the cat turned evil. even at 6 I was like WTF. I was so relieved when the cat turned back to normal.

Scared: The skit where Smokey Robinson was singing "You really got a hold on me"
And it featured the giant letter "U" physically harassing him by chasing, grabbing , and feeling on him.
It was quite disturbing to watch to this very day lol

Sad: The fact that Oscar has a soft spot for slimy and was sad when he went to space. It was touching.

Yeah, a lot of the skits made me upset. I could write a book, but here are a few:
1. The sad flower song.
2. *beep* Cookie Monster eating Ernie's *beep*
3. Grover popping Ernie's balloons to count them.
4. Sherlock supposedly being buried in the sand.
5. Super Grover (he sucked *beep*
6. Count keeping Ernie up all night with the counting of sheep.
7. Big Bird never getting Mr. Hooper's name right, the dummy.

I think that is enough.

Sad- the boy and the eagle stealing the Easter egg, flying over the sea, hee hee hee. Even the music is sad.

Scared- When the kid on the bicycle gets lost and finds himself in a psychedelic neighborhood. The weird creature that helps him by telling him to retrace his steps.

Sad- Any time Ernie totally tricked Bert to get what he wanted. Even as a kid I had a strong sense of justice!
