Did this really happen in the show or not?

I feel like, in one episode, it ended with a scene in where, instead of showing scooby shouting his name, shaggy kept going back and forth from laughing to crying, like, every two seconds. Was this real or my imagination?

I think it was your imagination. :) I don't remember ever seeing an ending to Scooby doo like that.

Might have been one of Cartoon Network's "screwy ain't it" bumpers. Where they took a gag and repeated it over and over till the caption came up.

Gamefaqs has a far worse population than IMDB
