Yes and he was also a really excellent disc jockey and host of the American Top 40! I always thought he sort of sounded like Shaggy, even before I found out that he did indeed do the voice of Shaggy. From what I know his health had been failing and he was on his last leg so it was just a matter of time before he checked out. He will be missed. I loved listening to him on the radio and he did a terrific voice of Shaggy.

I didn't know until the day that he died that he was the voice behind the Shaggy! That's amazing and weird. R.I.P.

From what I read and heard in his more recent interviews he realized his voice work, and especially Shaggy would be he his most enduring legacy. He felt people would forget his name but would hear his voice on Scooby Doo for many years to come.
It is not our abilities that show who we truly are...it is our choices

Weird this was, I just got through watching this show when I learned. I always knew this day would come. I just didn't think my heart would break when it did. RIP Casey!

Now his ghost is trying to scare away all the townsfolk from an old abandoned mine with gold still in it. Quick gang - to the Mystery Machine!

OH, and I love real rap music. Toodaloo.

Bruce Lee was real. Batman was never real.

Like another poster here, I always thought Shaggy sounded like him (or vice versa lol) but until recently I had NO idea he was Shaggy!
Cool & wild!

I'd say this cloud is Cumulo Nimbus.
Didn't he discover America?
Penfold, shush.
