I thought Hee Haw ran for much less. On what channel was it broadcasted?

It was on CBS for its first two or three years and then was syndicated for the rest of its run.

The show ran from June 1969 to May 1992. From 1992 to 1994 there was Silver Hee Haw. This had new intro's by Roy Clark and new closings by Cathy Baker but the rest was the best segments from the past. In the South these last episodes were still an hour long, but on the East coast they were edited to a half hour!

As a child I remember it being on our local ABC affiliate out of Columbia, South Carolina.

According to the IMDB it's actually still on. But from what I gather it seems like only a couple of episodes are produced every year.

IMDD is wrong. It went out of production in the early 90's.
