and now i miss it... its weird that you can miss NOT watching something...

i tried to watch it several times(we only had 3 channels back then).. i kept remembering vaguely being around 5 years old and thinking it was hilarious... and so id keep trying but it was just impossible... i think the jokes just kept getting staler and less frequent as it went on.. i had a more enjoyable time watching reruns of lawrence welk than this... fishing shows were more entertaining...

but now its gone.. and i feel old.. and i want it back... not watching it was so much better than not watching reality tv.. at least it didnt make me angry and didnt cause everyone else to imitate it and act like fools.. well.. not hateful fools anyway.
i miss the good natured family values shows that turned your brain into putty... not these new mockingly scandalous anything for a buck and a day in the spotlight turn your brain into putty shows they have now.

If you get RFDTV, it's on every Sunday night at 7.

I watch this show in RFD TV. It's hilarious!!! I do agree that it's corny. I also have to agree that it's way better than reality TV.

I like watching this show nowadays and had no use for it back during its original run. The humor is corny, but simple and fun. Stuff like this would never air today on the Big 3 networks and that is sad.

I enjoyed it then and now. The only problem I had with it as a child was when the local CBS affiliate changed Soul Train from early afternoon to 7pm Saturday nights and I had to keep going up to the tv to switch between the two stations.

Ha! Back in the '70s, I was always the closest to the TV. Guess who had the honor of changing the channel when my parents asked? 😀

No blah, blah, blah!
