The Voices

I know The Beatles themselves didn't do their animated counterparts' voices 42 years ago and couldn't now. But, since crazy Disney is remaking it, they should find the guys that would sound really close to the Fab Four's tone and dialects.

You know, I'm a bit confused with the actors they've chosen to do the voices of
the guys in the remake. It's mismatched and just off. I could be wrong and maybe they'll do a good job. But it seems a bit odd.

Why couldn't they have done this?:
They probably should've had their sons do their fathers' voices. They sound like them. Dhani should do George's voice, Julian should do John's voice(he sounds A LOT like his father), maybe James should do Paul's voice, and either Zak or Jason should do Ringo's voice. That would make more sense.

But hey. That was my take on it.

I agree, the sons should do the voices.

They're not that hard to do though. The Liverpool accent and the boys themselves have a lot of hooks a good voice actor can key on. I'm not "that" good, and I can do all 4 of them.

That's awesome! I bet you're pretty good at imitating the tones.

Yes. I've heard some of the sons talk before and it's unbelievable! Like if I hear Julian talk in conversation with someone, I swear it be John talking. Same with Dhani!

And boy how their resemblances play out is another factor. It's a bit freaky. I bet Paul and Ringo kind of have a hard time looking at and/or talking to them and think how they remind them of their pals. I'm sorry about them. Anyway, they should really consider the sons for the voiceovers.

I wonder if it's too late to actually suggest to Disney and Pixar to ask the boys if they want to do it. Maybe I should send a letter to them though I got to find the email address.

Maybe it won't work but it should be a nice suggestion.

I don't think this is a project the Beatles' sons want to be involved in. None of them were raised in Liverpool, so none of them have accents that are appropriate to the characters. The "Dream band" is not something they ever wanted to do either. According to one article, Zemeckis approached Paul and Ringo, who decined to be involved. I think that was wise.
I don't think Paul and Ringo have a hard time seeing their bandmates' children. They all knew each others' children as they were growing up, so I would think that they have only affection and love for them, even with the sadness of their dads being gone. At the Concert For George, Paul did say to Olivia that seeing Dhani was just as if it was George standing in front of him.

You're right, robeekay. They wouldn't do it. It was only a suggestiong that's all. They don't have to do it if they don't want to. I wouldn't blame them. Besides, the remaking it is just unneccesary. This project probably wouldn't suit them so, nah.

And I think you're right about the relationships of them and eachother's children. Yes, they do know eachother extremely well, like a family. I'd actually seen pictures of the children, including the daughters, with one another. I think when John and George passed on, Paul and Ringo sorta 'adopted' Julian, Dhani, and even Sean. As in perhaps they vowed that if something happened to either of them, they would be sure to take good care of their kids.

Paul wasn't kidding! My ex-gf & I saw the film in Los Angeles when it came out theatrically, several years back, and every time Dhani was shown on-camera, we both couldn't take our eyes off of him - he looked like a younger version of his dad!!!

At the same concert Eric Clapton said to Olivia "It's like we all got older and he stayed the same."

It's scary how much Dhani looks like his father. I try to watch that concert at least once a year. It's good for the soul.

My mistake, it was Paul that says it. Right before Joe Brown leads the final song.
