It really grows on you, especially after more than one viewing. Does anyone own the new DVD?

Check with your city library, they may have a copy. DVD differs from vhs because it has subtitles and includes the film trailer from way back 1968 or so. However you see this film, it is worth it.

You will all be happy to know that "The Swimmer" was released on fancy-schmancy blu-ray disc a couple years ago. It's a great release.
