The horse hurdle jumping scene
Was this intended to be comedic? The way it was shown in slow motion and the gleeful grin on Ned's face reminded me of an old Monty Python skit.
John Cleese is a plastic surgeon and Graham Chapman walks into his office wearing a giant plastic nose, and informs the doc that he wants a nose job. Cleese removes the plastic nose and says, 'this nose is obviously fake, and your real nose is perfect.' Chapman replies, 'I don't care; I want the surgery anyway.' Cleese: 'well, alright, but, only if you'll go on a camping holiday with me.'
You then see the two of them, in their business suits, holding hands and running and skipping thru some woods, Chapman wearing the plastic nose, shown in slow motion, while violin music plays. Gut-wrenchingly funny, especially if you're high.
May I bone your kipper, mademoiselle?
