I Didn't Get It!
If she loved Charlie so much, why didn't she let him stay? I just don't get it.
I Love....ME!!!!

Even though she claimed she wanted him to remember her the way she was when she was still kind of doing okay, it's hard to grasp that she could send him away (pardon my rhyming ). I imagine he would've been loving, devoted and holding her hand 'till the end. He has to live with the fact that there are these other people in her life that she doesn't send away.
Mag, Darling, you're being a bore.
She sent him away because it would have been so much harder for her to die knowing it would be the end of her love for him.
shareI still don't get it.... but maybe it was just part of the hippie dippie 'Love is never having to say you're sorry' stuff that I never understood.... I was a kid at the time.
shareTo Sara, being remembered was the most important thing. She didn't want him to have any memories of her being sickly or dying. In her way of thinking, if he remembered her as she was when he left, then she would always be that way, even after dying. I think this is why she let's him leave, and even tells Gordon that it's going to be a lovely month. You can almost see her being at peace, knowing that her greatest wish will be fulfilled. Charlie has promised to remember her and take her with him forever. That meant existing forever to her, and that is what she wanted more than anything.
