Films with no buildings in

The Scalphunters belongs in this category. No buildings of any sort appear anywhere in the film and all of the characters appear to be essentially homeless (the Indians probably have a village somewhere, I guess, but we never see it).

I'm sure that there are plenty but, off the top of my head, I can't think of any other movies that literally have no buildings in them at all. Caveman films tend to have caves, Tarzan films tend to have tree-houses or mud huts, and Robin Hood films have castles. Some science fiction films will take place entirely on spaceships so they might qualify.

That didn't occur to me but you're right, I think this is the only movie i've ever seen where there were literally no buildings in the whole film. Interesting.

I don't know if a movie with a spaceship would qualify. A spaceship is more of a vehicle than a building, but it's still something people would live in for a long period of time without exiting at all, and thus might count as a sort of building.

Thanks for the kind reply. Yes, another way of saying more-or-less the same thing would be to say that the film has no doors in it. That covers the spaceships! The closest thing to a doorway scene in The Scalphunters is when Jim Howie pulls back the canvas wagon flap after he overhears Joseph Lee talking to himself. Interesting stuff.
