Rachel's reaction at the church

I'm afraid I was interrupted during the church scene, and only came back in on the last bit of Estelle Parson's character trying to comfort her. What reaction did Rachel have that caused her to become so embarrassed?

She fell victim to the congregation's creepy, loud chanting, began screaming "love me" over and over again, and then collapsed in the "guest preacher's" arms.

Was this a Foursquare church? Those can get scary, with people acting really nuts.

I was horrified by the church scene. Totally forced and fake. It's probably more common in the Midwest or South, it seems really creepy to a New Englander, we are used to formal stiff Puritsn forms of worship. In fact, I'm opposite most people in that I can't show emotion in church but do everywhere else.
