Calling other 'Felix's'!!

Hi! I just got cast in my church's production of TOC as Felix. Anyone here ever play him? I'm trying to make my Felix different from Tony and Jack's portrayals - not that I don't like them (both great) - and I'm sure I'll be influenced by them - but I want to make my characterization my own. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks!

The only thing I could suggest is to read the script and focus on your personal interpretation of the character. Just try to do it the way you see the character being written. Oh, and you might want to avoid watching the movie or tv show for a while.

Thanks! In fact, when I'm about to do a role, I do start avoiding other versions. I'm going to be Harold Hill also in a few months, and that's gonna be another "iconic" role to re-interpret!

Take care, God bless!

Wow! The Music Man is also one of my favorites. Must be fun to get involved in theater. Good luck--or do I say "Break a leg"?
