I played Oscar.....
...in my theater class in college. By far my favorite role on stage. I love this movie/play.

I've played Murray twice--both in community theater productions, once in the 80's and again in 1999--and next season I will be directing it.

I got to direct a scene from The Odd Couple in my IB Theater class in high school. Oh man, that sure made my senior year. There were two kids in my class that were perfect for the roles of Oscar and Felix too. I remember going to the guy who played Oscar's house to rehearse the scene, and his basement was a total mess. He had a pizza box there from a week earlier, haha. Then I remember how much the guy that played Felix complained about how messy the place was. They were also the best of friends in real life. I couldn't have been luckier. It was destiny that I directed that scene.
