anyone else surprised it's not in top 250?

this movie usually makes the cut in critics top american comedys. Lemmon, Matheau and Simon all in their prime with fantastic peripheral characters. This movie has so much dialogue rhythm between characters and amazing character dynamic.
you don't see many movies like it, and when you do they usually don't have anywhere near the caliber of dialogue and acting.

Very surprised. It's perhaps the greatest comedy of all time, and one that has stood the test of time very well, it's still hilarious. Quite a feat for a comedy as they are usually dated quickly.

I am, but I don't put much stock in the IMDb top 250. It's one of the best stage-to-movie adaptations I've ever seen...and Matthau and Lemmon give it the best stage treatment with constant movement, snappy one liners, and sight gags you almost miss because of the flow of the show.

Proud to be one of the Joker's wild cards.

Extremely surprised, but less so when you see the films that are up there because obviously there's some vote-stuffing going on here. "The Odd Couple" is certainly in my Top 250 -- probably my Top 50.

It has an exceptionally low amount of votes. Probably has a lot to do with it.

It should absolutely be in the top 250 though. It's the best comedy I've seen since I can't remember when.

Illusions Michael. Tricks are something whores do for money.

No, it's a pretty boring movie with uninteresting characters. I can't believe this film is talked about so much. I made it almost half way through the movie until I turned it off. Just boring and uninteresting characters.
