Felix is the mangina of the 1960s

Francine kicks his ass out, drives him to commit suicide. I guarantee you, she doesn't give a sh!t. Why did she kick him out? Because he's a better housekeeper than she is?? Wouldn't most women today die for a man like Felix?? I don't know. But, for Felix to turn around and say, "Poor Francine. She's gonna have a hard time finding another man" was unbelievable. I wish I could've slapped him upside the head in that moment.

What a dumb,stupid-a** term--"mangina". Felix was having to deal with the very real fact that his marriage was completely over and showing some REAL emotion about it, as opposed to just going out and getting drunk with his boys, crashing a car into something, and acting like it didn't bother him at all. I can't stand it when people get too emotional in certain situations, but I also think it's ridiculous and stupid to put a man down just because he actually shows some emotion or actually gets overwrought about a setback in life. Men are human too, dammit. Anyway, I just actually sat and watched THE ODD COUPLE all the way through for the first time ever (I just barely recall when the show itself was on the air, and I always loved the theme song---was nice to hear the different variations of it throughout the film) and liked it, mainly because both Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau were in it (grew up watching a lot of their stuff, and I love just about anything Lemmon was in) so of course I liked the film. It also helps that it was very well written, and funny too.

Those words above are amazing! I wish ALL IMDb comments were this good.

I think that ALL white men are a combination of Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Black men are a combination of Bill Cosby and Prince. But we're all stupid, regardless of race. Jesus are we stupid. But it all works out in the end. :)

French Lick, you're on Larry King, what's your question...
