It's depressing to realize that Harry Cooper WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG!

Every time I watch this I can't stop thinking about how that jerk Harry Cooper was right all along. Ben kept saying the cellar was a death trap and then that is EXACTLY where he ends up and that is what temporarily saved his life. This makes me uncomfortable and it just lingers in me. I really think this is one of the most thought provoking movies of all time.

I often felt this movie shows the importance of working together or, to be more precise, what happens when people do not work together.

Actually the smartest plan would've been to move everything (TV, radio, food, etc.) UPSTAIRS and knock out the staircase. Then they could see and signal any rescue parties.

They could have climbed on the roof and just pushed off anything that tried to climb up there. The problem is the undead are persistent and would just keep congregating until they were surrounded and trapped.
