Torment of Priest Very Distressing
The most distressing and disturbing scene in this classic film was the torture and execution of the poor, innocent priest, played by Rupert Davies. I really felt his pain when Hopkins and his henchmen pounced on him like that. It must have been really horrible living in those times, if this is an example of what it was like if you were unfortunate enough to encounter people like Matthew Hopkins.
