R.I.P. O'Toole...The Lion in Winter, indeed

I mean, has a star's death ever had a more appropriate movie title to tag it with? O'Toole dying in mid-December is almost eerie given that role is one of his keepsakes.

I'm impelled to add it to this season's rotation now.

Nicely stated, SJ.
In tribute, will seek out my dvd and watch this yet again over Christmas, and savour all over again the outstanding script, acting and cinematography, of this splendid film. Will not answer my door and all phones will be off!

The first thing I thought of whem I learned of his death was his magnificent monologue in this film "My life when it is over will read better than it lived." In his case it lived pretty damn impressively too.
