Anyone here from France?

I just wondered, given that all the characters and events in this film are as much part of French history as English history, if this film is well known in France? Is it popular?

Just curious.

reply

Non.

King Richard certainly spent more time in France than he ever spent in England.
What a family, and in such times as those.

I think it's against French law (maybe hidden in their constitution) to post on an English board.

The French seem to think that le français is the only spoken sounds humans should make or read. I'm surprised they don't have their own alphabet. So there are probably few French speaking members on IMDB. After their performance in WWII if I was French I would be somewhat embarrassed to be seen in public. [Just kidding, Frenchie]

I just wondered because there's at least one French person who posts regularly in discussions of medieval films on IMDb. Must look out for him/her and PM about it.

reply

Yes, our French friends are out there as I chat with one on another IMdB site, from near Calais.
