I got the DVD version of Ice Station Zebra yesterday and noticed that it runs approx 150 min, while the VHS PAL version I bought years ago runs approx 139 min. Actually I haven't had time to the DVD yet to see if there are indeed differences between the two. Does anyone know if there exists different versions of this film?
Does the before movie musical number and the intermission musical number included on the VHS copy as it is on the DVD version? That's the only think I could think of.
sharePAL runs 4% faster than NTSC, the 139 minute version on the PAL tape will come 144 and half a minute at NTSC. In addition to that come the "scenes" mentioned by the above poster that probably fill the running time of 150 mins.
