Did anyone else notice the similarities to Red October?

Seems like Tom Clancy got some splaining to do. Although Red October was a better film at least. This seemed to fall apart at the end.

I have to disagree , Hunt is a good movie but not nearly as good as Ice , plus those terrible cgi effects ruin it with the torpedos that look like cartoons and other stuff - Ice has great effects except ofcourse the Russian jet fighters, plus Red is good a couple times and then gets tired , Ice is great on many views and never gets tired , What would you point out as simular ?

Hunt For Red October had very few blunders, whereas Ice Station Zebra was filled with mistakes.

Technically this was better than WWII films like Destination Tokyo, but the script was dry and the plot was lame. All in all, it is a mediocre film, worth watching only for the special effects which were excellent for 1968.

Tend to agree with that though i always enjoy watching it, mcgoohans intense performance, legrands rousing theme & the fake snow are all worth a see.

Can you provide a list of all the mistakes you're aware of?

Not anymore -- it was more than six weeks ago that I watched it, and I'm not even sure if I watched the entire thing! I don't think I really want to sit through it again, start to finish. so I can record the technical errors.
