Similarities to None But The Brave w/ Frank Sinatra

If you liked Hell in The Pacific, track down a little known movie called None But The Brave (1965) directed by none other than Frank Sinatra. The main difference is that there are a bunch of Japanese and American soldiers stranded on the island. A few cheesy scenes but overall a very good movie.

None but the brave was on TCM not too long ago but the version they showed had no Japanese subtitles. Unless you are bilingual that really takes so much away from that film. You know that both men are under the same type of pressure from the subordinates but with the subtitles you get the differences of the two cultures.
