wow i absolutely loved that book too, i never thought i could enjoy something that an 83 year old recommended, but i couldn't put it down and i cried at the end, in addition to this, i cant listen to the music i was playing when i read the book because the music makes me cry now, and the music had nothing to do with it! i'm glad to know that other people have heard of it, my AP english teacher hadn't even read it. tell me if it ever comes out on dvd!

I could identify with Mick's inability to actually write down the music that was in her head.

you can find this movie -- the heart is a lonely hunter -- on VHS -- used copies -- on ebay. i think i saw 3 or 4 copies this morning.
