Ruth Gordon was awesome, but I'm certainly not defending the Oscars. I saw this film today after seeing Bronco Billy yesterday, and I'm left thinking... what happened to Sondra? She was also outstanding in Josey Wales and even good in bad films like The Gauntlet.

I recall hearing once that she was blacklisted by/for Clint after they split.

I was just reading IMDB's bio of Sondra Locke.

She has sure had a cruel life, and none of it by her own doing.

Clint Eastwood is a pathetic and sad person.

Arkin and McCann should have won Oscars and Locke deserved her nomination.
