Being a deaf-mute, I thought it was interesting that Singer had a record player and albums. It sure came in handy as a way to connect with Mick, but would somebody like him really have one?
I'd think it might be a painful reminder of his limitations.

But, I thought Mick did a Great job in her effort to try to get Singer to explain the music she was hearing.

He went and bought it for Mick after he noticed her yearning for music. He saw her hanging around the local concert hall without a hope to afford a ticket, wrote down the title of the classical piece which was playing, and then went and bought the record and the player.
