Christopher Lee Had No Problems With This One

I have just got done reading his auto book and it seems that he did not mind doing the first three but it was around "Taste the Blood of Dracula" and so on
that he started to go bitter just thought i would say that

The crucifix kills him; prior to that he pulls out a wooden stake.

I also heard they did not pay him very well for these films which surprised me. These films made lots of money!

He was so good in them and he got to work with pal and best mate Pete Cushing!

He did have a problem with the one before this one. He hated the lines they had written for Dracula. That is why he never uttered one single line in the movie.

First of all, let me say I think Lee is a great actor and great person (he is a war hero in real life). That being said, his attitudes on his Dracula work come off as a bit pretentious; he never seemed to appreciate how great these films were. He seemed to always look down on this role and complained a lot about it.... I mean, if he had problems with Prince of Darkness, Risen, or Taste the Blood, then why go on to do the very low budget (but entertaining) Scars, and why bother with the hokey A.D. and Satanic Rites? Methinks he doth protest too much and should be happier that these movies increased his fame, fortune and fan base greatly.

I'm 3/4 thru this film, and as a fan of the genre, I'm very pleased so far. I really liked the first half, esp the monsignor's lines.
