Herein is a case of beginning well,but,somewhat,bogging in the middle.

There is a fine momentum which begins the festivities,but,then,hobbles a bit towards the end.

Revenge,i suppose,can be a cold sandwich alright !

However,this sequel has a lot to be commended as the actors are superb and veterans at that;

lovely females,evil vs.the good stand out here as well.

There are found innovations contained within one scene when the driven stake aimed at Lee's heart is literally pulled OUT

All in all,a decent film which features Mike Ripper as particularly simpatico and the music is better than average.

There are also wonderful visual moments to savor.

The ending,in conclusion,ain't too bad either !

It indeed starts out very strong, only to sag a bit — ironically, with the introduction of Dracula. The direction is very splashy, and the performance are top-notch, but the terror element just felt a bit "off" to me. Worthy effort, though. I give it 7/10 stars.

Yeah...but for me it was Veronica Carlson---she was sort of lacking the 'push-up-bra' effect she had in 'Horror of Frankenstein' & 'Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed'.

Performances are indeed strong !

The English even take their 'horror' films seriously...I like that, yesiree.

Strong leads and terrific supporting cast members. And, as an aside,(even more so),Veronica Carlson is sooo 'easy' to look at ~

This is my favorite of the Hammer Dracula films. I think it is very entertaining all the way through and a great film to watch.

Hammer took their horror seriously not campy. Good scripts and actors who "sold" the idea these events were real drew the viewers into their world for 90min. It shows you what talent can do.
