It has been years since I have seen this particular Christopher Lee movie.

Lot of inconsistencies. Why didn't Dracula use the priest to remove the cross? When Maria removed the cross why didn't her touching the cross hurt her (and, yes I know that she was not yet a full on vampire, but it still should have bothered her in someway)? And, how the heck did she remove such a heavy cross from the door? When it was tossed over the cliff it made noises that it was made of metal. Also, Dracula's shadow was seen. And, a bunch more.

I still enjoyed the movie, but of them all it was the one with the most plot holes.

Just watched it for the first time in decades--yeah, they take liberties with vampire, though Hollywood had already loosened it quite a bit through years, dare I say, dating back to 1927's Nosferatu. One flaw I cite that it essentially rehashes the basic "Dracula" initial plot with substitute characters across the board from Van Helsing to Renfield (both portrayed as clergymen). Still the alternative setting makes it interesting, as does the different spin on how to kill Dracula in the climax.
